The Jamorama Multimedia Guitar Learning Course has been
around for 6 years now and in that time has sold over 100,000 copies. It has built up a steady following of loyal
and satisfied customers, but it has also spawned a good number of vociferous critics. We set out in this
Jamorama review to judge for ourselves where the truth
lies.
It has to be said that in its marketing presentation there
is a great deal of hype. In order to deliver a fair Jamorama review we had to ignore this and delve into the actual
content of the course and make the judgement for ourselves and by inference a judgement for you too.
Our first observation was that when you see what you get for
your money - just $49.95 for the Standard Course- there is no way that you can fail to be impressed! There is a
mass of product to download immediately after making payment through Clickbank, themselves a highly respected and
reliable market place for digital products – so you know your money is safe.
Contents of The Jamorama Guitar Course
Straight away you can download a Beginner and an Advanced
e-book of lessons. That is amazingly 44 chapters and 252 pages of lessons. To complement these written instructions
there are 148 step by step video lessons showing you from two viewpoints how to play the actions you are reading
about. There is no doubt that visualisation of the lessons makes for faster
learning.
Practice is THE KEY to success learning to play guitar and
to that end the Jamorama course includes a number of Jam Tracks for you to play along with practicing the
things you are learning in the course.
Provided with the Jamorama course there are a number of
extras or bonuses as they like to call them, which are well worth having.
The first of these is given the unlikely name of GuitEarIt!
This is a software game package designed to train your ear to recognise chords. Ear training enables you to
gradually get to a stage where if you can hear it you can transcribe it. Then you can play it or at least
approximate to it.
Another software package included is Jayde Music Pro.
Learning how to read music can be a bit of a challenge. This game accelerates the process in an easy to follow and
enjoyable way.
Guitar Tuner Pro software and How to Tune your Guitar
e-book. Jamorama are addressing here what can be a problem for beginners. If your guitar isn’t set up properly
learning to play it can be a nightmare.
Jamorama Metronome. Any good guitar instructor will tell you
to get a metronome, well here it is.
Jamorama Chord Kit. Jamoramas own Chord and Progression
Book. The book is liberally illustrated with photographs and tablature to assist in your development of chord
progression.
An on-line community with forum and a blog are open to
students in the members area. My own experience is that access to forums can be of tremendous value if you are
having any difficulties. You can be sure someone else has been there already and that there is likely to be an
answer in the forum for you. That is especially true when you think that this Jamorama course has been selling well
for 6 years and 100,000 people have experienced learning to play guitar with it!
This Jamorama review felt this to be a very modern and very
complete course to start learning to play guitar with. The written instruction and visual components harmonise very
well together and take the learner forward in a logical and enjoyable path of learning. It is much easier to digest
and retain any form of learning if it is delivered in a varying format. With the written word, visualisation in the
video component and interactivity through the bonus software you have it all.
In this Jamorama review I thought that as the early
lessons are geared directly at the complete beginner to learning to play guitar perhaps it would be a good idea to
scan through these and start yourself off at whatever point best suites your own level of skill. Early lessons
focus on issues such as the components of the guitar and how you should hold it which you might find a bit
basic.
In conclusion for this Jamorama Review I think it is fair to
say that this course has a great deal to offer the complete beginner and the improving guitarist. Not so much for
the guitarist who has already achieved a high level of skill as they may feel that the course has its limitations.
I think too that this course is best suited to younger people. The more mature may well prefer a more subtle
approach!
One great thing with this Jamorama Guitar Course is - you can trial it with 6 FREE LESSONS before you commit to anything at all. Hows that for confidence on
their part?
Recommendations of this Jamorama Review
If your goal is to start learning to play guitar and you
want to learn quickly and without too much theory. If you want to have fun learning to play guitar and you want to
do it without committing a lot of expense. If you want to download and get started right now then I can thoroughly
recommend the Jamorama Guitar Course to you.
Going through the course in order to write this
Jamorama review I felt it is important that you see through the hype.
Really, do not expect to be playing like Jimmy Hendrix in a month’s time. The key to your success will be to work
closely with this course. There is a tremendous amount of material in there. Devote a given amount of time on a
regular basis to learning guitar within the course. Then practice, practice and practice some more. The course can
and will work but you have to do the work with it.
